I am hoping for some ideas…..I wrote about my cat before, he has been struggling with breathing for over a month and no remedies have seemed to work real well. He makes a raspy loud noise about 70% of the time when breathing. At night and with a vaporizer he will often settle down and seem to breathe through the one nostril ok.

He was just diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Any herbal remedies that might help reduce the size of it? I am using a vaporizer which seems to help him keep the other side of his nose more clear and I tried Lobelia and the Resp Exp formulas before we knew it was a tumor. Now I am just using saline drops in his nose to keep it irrigated.

They have tried a lot of steroids etc, which didn’t seem to have any effect at all.

Sorry to hear about your trouble Shaundele.  Cat cancer is surpassingly rare but squamous cell carcinoma seems to be the one they like to get when the do. I don’t have a specific herb to knock it out. On cancer cases I usually do a combination of immunity support and blood cleansing (see the Cancer module). The lobelia and Expectorant formula may still help to keep things open and moving.

The other difficulty with cats is that some of them refuse to take herbs voluntarily. It can be a hard road.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

              Hi,

And thanks for answering :>) We have been giving him Turkey Tail infused and a Chinese herb our vet had that’s supposed to slow down tumors.

It’s a bit hard to give him tinctures, but he’s getting used to them, I dilute them a bit with apple cider.

How about Frankensense or Turmeric tinctures?

He actually seems better but I can see the tumor at the bottom of his eye and in his right nostril. I think it’s moved a bit towards his eye, which makes it a bit easier for him to breathe. He is eating pretty well and is responsive for affection etc…

I have been giving him some pain meds they gave me, some Prednisolone, Turkey tail, the Chinese herb (in a capsule) and some MCT oil. When he seems clogged up I give him the Respiratory Exp and some Lobelia.

I have an Immunity tincture I can begin giving him. I will also make up the Blood Cleanse formula but how soon can I start using it?

              Thanks for your help,

              Shaundele

He can start both of those right away.
