I know there are commercial cayenne nasal sprays. Has anybody made one? I’m thinking a few drops of cayenne tincture in a saline solution? Give me your thoughts.

Wow! I have never heard— or imagined that till now. I use a cayenne extract by the dropperful & it’s Very effective for eyes, sinus, bledding.

Yep, if you look at Amazon you can find bunches of cayenne nasal sprays. Doc Jones suggests putting cayenne in your mouth (don’t know if it’s powered or a tincture) and I can’t bring myself to do that. Currently I’m rubbing a Cayenne salve in my nose. Stings a bit but really helps.

Kristel, is an extract the same as a tincture? And you just use a drop in your nose or do you swallow it?

How do you use it for eyes?

I’ve used a tiny amount of cayenne in eyewash formulas. To make those I don’t use tinctures. I may a tea and strain it. The cayenne is quite zingy and improves circulation to that eye and increases lacrimation (tear production) both of which are good for conjunctivitis and such.

The formula for the Eye wash is here:
