I currently dealing with an elderly goat and the some record cold. Day before last I came out to do chores and she was all hunched and would not eat, not even cloves of garlic which she adores. I had cayenne tincture so I started giving her that. And I rigged her up a heat lamp.I gave her a teaspoon at four different times.
By evening she was eating again and has continued to improve. I’m still giving her the tincture.
My question is it the cayenne a good idea? I thought it might be able to warm her up and as I thought if organs were shutting down it might stimulate her back. But she has always been a tough goat I just wanted to be sure the cayenne is warming her and not causing her to lose heat.
