Could someone give me accurate info on chickweed as to when to harvest and how much to harvest?

If tincturing, is it best done with fresh or dried plant?

Does the medicine in dried chickweed last a year when dried like most herbs?

Hello, I have purchased this from Strictly Medicinal seeds (dried) and it had flowers on it.  I tinctured it dry, which is the best method to use, in my opinion. If it is in a dark bag it should last at least a year like the others. Have blessed day, Joanne

Harvest chickweed when it’s young and tender. When it starts to get old and leggy and dry it’s not nearly as good. I always dry it before making tinctures as it has pretty high water content. Fresh is fine for teas, just use twice as much. It’s pretty much a springtime plant and dries out pretty early in the season around here in Idaho.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Hello, I live in West Texas and I was wondering if it was possible to find chickweed in my area. My two year old nephew has eczema and was thinking of mixing chickweed and tallow together for him as a kind of topical lotion.
