If echinacea is a good herb to help stimulate cytokines during an illness, but echinacea also needs a catalyst herb to make it work more effectively, what herb should I pair with it? I had been pairing it with ginger, only to find out that ginger decreases cytokines (no wonder it that combo wasn’t working very well….*face palm*). I would be giving it to little kids (2 and 4), and I am a nursing mama, if that makes any difference to what herbs you would use as a catalyst.

I believe Doc Jones also recommends peppermint and cayenne peeper.  Cloves are also a catalyst.  Checkout his supplemental videos and webinars.

Fresh-ground black pepper is really good too.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
