My husband fell recently and injured his hip. We have been able to get him moving again, but there is a lingering pain. Recently he jabbed his hand and we think bruised the bone. I applied a comfrey paste and the next day the swelling went down and two days later there is complete mobility and very little pain. I am wondering if comfrey will help his hip. He just doesn’t want a big Band-Aid for the comfrey paste. Any ideas?

Maybe spray on comfrey tincture or make a tea and soak a cloth in it and place it on hip for a bit?

Topical comfrey tincture would be easy to do and would likely help. There are lots of other good pain herbs too. Have a look at the Pain Management lessons.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
