Critical Thinking Skills: What are they?

Well, here might be an example:

THOUGHT: If we all have strep bacteria in our throats anyway (kept in control by our immune system) Then how could strep throat be passed along to others if we already have the bacteria in our system? In other words, why would persons A strep affect person Bs strep?

It would be understood that if our immune system has broken down, we are more easily affected by an over population of problem bacteria.  But why one bad bacteria over another? (or why the same bacteria getting out of control)

An immune system can be broken down by eating too much sugar or not getting enough rest, not enough sunlight etc.

Some illness might be higher during raining damp seasons.  So, could this be the reason why one illness is prevalent over another?

Getting back to strep, if we already have strep in our system an imbalance has to occur.

But how does one person having strep infect another person (who already naturally has strep in their system) but is not sick, but ends up getting sick (with a strep infection)

What other conditions would have to be right for strep to flourish.

So, does a strep infection in one cause strep infection in another (even though we already have strep bacteria in our system)

Something has to cause the over production of certain bacteria.

a. sugar feeds bacteria

b. weather conditions may play a role?

c. immune system function low (which has lots of factors)

d. ______________________ (the missing link)

So, if some plants or foods are high in ___XYZ____

and XYZ fights against certain bacteria . . .

Person C might not get sick at all because XYZ is in his/her diet.
