I have many dandelion lookalikes on my property, such as Smooth Cat’s Ear (Hypochaeris glabra) and Oriental False Hawksbeard (Youngia japonica), all in the Asteraceae family. I’m just wondering if these have the same medicinal properties as a true dandelion? I can’t find anything about these plants in any of my herbal books.
