Alot of people don’t know this but Daylily flowers are really tasty. Almost like iceberg lettuce. Very mild with a nice crunch. I nibble on these whenever I find them, but would probably be great in salads.

Don’t confused with Tigerlily…they can make you sick.

I wish I’d kept the page as reference but I didn’t. I read that the juice from the tubers of the day lilies is an antidote to arsenic poisoning. I probably didn’t keep it because it wasn’t a scientific site so I can’t vouch for it and I’m not about to suck on a treated bee hive to test it.

MODERATOR: This is VERY good advice. Do not try something new unless you have VERY good information from a VERY reliable source!

I munch on daylilly flowers as opportunity arises (ie.., when my wife isn’t looking). She thinks yer s’posed to look at ’em.🙄

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Silly girl. You REALLY need to sit her down and repeat our mantra until she gets it:

ALL plants are medicinal, we just have not figured out what the use is yet.
