Any recommendations for treating a cat for worms? I would appreciate any good help. I took in a stray kitty awhile back because she was pregnant. She’s a sweetheart and such a good mama to her babies, but she needs to be treated for worms. I’ll spare you the details.

In Dr Jones’ lessons on giving animals the herbs, it definitely seems like cats are the tricky ones. Since the cat’s sense of food is directly tied to their sense of smell, you’ll have to see about masking the herbs in some strong smelling food. If you go the tincture route, you have to make sure you get the dropper far back in their mouth or else they will try and stop it with their tongue.

As for as the herbs go, look for ones in the anthelmintic category as those deal specifically with worms. In the Learn The Lingo lesson, Dr Jones references White Sagebrush, Garlic, Elecampane, Wormwood, Pumpkin Seed, Black Walnut Hull, Tansy, Rue, Hyssop, and Male Fern as herbs in that category.
