Dog with crusty nose

My boy has developed a crust on his nose that seems to progressively bother him more and more. He likes to rub his nose on the furniture! I tried to put vitamin E oil on it but he licks it off immediately. Any suggestions? Thank you all, once again, for always being so helpful.

Try some omega three fatty acids internally. Nothing works topically on pooch noses. Their lickers are too busy.

Ground flax, flax oil or purslane might be a less expensive way to add more to the diet.

I have seen positive results with flax seed oil for my dog’s skin.

Any of the fish oil or flax oil preparations they sell for people will work for dogs.
