My boy has developed a crust on his nose that seems to progressively bother him more and more. He likes to rub his nose on the furniture! I tried to put vitamin E oil on it but he licks it off immediately. Any suggestions? Thank you all, once again, for always being so helpful. 🙂

Try some omega three fatty acids internally. Nothing works topically on pooch noses. Their lickers are too busy.

I have been feeding him Salmon. Should I do more? Is there a particular brand or medium? I appreciate your help.

Ground flax, flax oil or purslane might be a less expensive way to add more to the diet.

I have seen positive results with flax seed oil for my dog’s skin.

Any of the fish oil or flax oil preparations they sell for people will work for dogs.
