A friend has asked if I can give any guidance for her in a situation where her friends 10 year old (I believe) black lab is assumed to have gotten a hold of some moose meat which was being marinated in an alcohol based marinade. Dog was taken to vet and is now paralyzed and blind. Vet gave them prednisone (a steroid) and gave them no information on what to do to help their beloved pet.
Can anyone give me some idea if there is anything that might help them. They are of the belief at this point if they take him back to the vet they will only be advised to put him down without being offered any hope for any path they can even try to help this poor lab.
