Here are some herbs that have decent iodine levels:
- Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus)
- Kelp (Laminaria spp.)
- Dulse (Palmaria palmata)
- Irish moss (Chondrus crispus)
Of the four, bladderwrack is highest. Growing conditions, processing etc… can affect the levels. Seafood (Fishies, shrimp etc…) are a good source of iodine too.
I don’t know that any of the above will provide levels anywhere near what actually taking iodine would do.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
