        Hello!

I am new here and while I was watching Doc’s herbal cleanse module, he mentioned a young woman who had a severe case of eczema on her face that no doc had any answers on how to fix it. Eliminate too much stress, bad diet and needed herbs was Doc Jone’s protocol. Does anyone remember what the herbs were? My daughter, most recently, has had a case of eczema break out on her neck and is now on her eyelids as well (looks like eye shadow!). She has been stressed as well so I’m hoping to help her as in the past she has had eczema on her hands (and been prescribed a steroidal cream), BUT I want to help her with herbs etc. I do have some nettle tincture and also some salves that are great for skin (calendula, lavender and yarrow infused in EVOO with beeswax). Any advice would be much appreciated.

I personally know that pain (scalp psoriasis brought on by stress and poor appetite that would take over my forehead and neck) and I tried a similar combination before I had seen what Doc described in the video. I can’t quote it because it has been a while, but I can say what has helped me:

Cooking with burdock root (soups, stews, stir fry, etc – sometimes paired with a sweeter herb tea is enough in a pinch)

Nutritive herbs like oat straw, nettles, and alfalfa in whatever form suits in the moment, but I found the oat straw is great in tea and I replaced parsley flakes with an equal mix of the other 2 (used a bit more thickly) for the whole herb benefits without really noticing it in my food.

My body tends to be very sensitive, so it may not be the same for others, but I saw the scaly rash recede within the first week! Just keep in mind, my success is on the lines of “managed” vs “gone.” It still flares with enough stress and if my diet slipped a bit, but it is worlds better than it was!

You need to remember that in most cases of skin eruptions the liver is the thing to treat.  Questions to figure out are how much processed food does she eat ?  How much of her diet contains preservatives, colouring agents etc.  if it were me I would try and eat just real foods and try and drink just water or herb teas if possible until it resolves.  Whole wheat anything for me is so highly inflammatory it actually makes me walk with a heavy limp.  Burdock root for one would be a wonderful place to start.  Topically, anything with chickweed would be wonderful too.  Remember the healing rule of thumb…about one month for every year the person has had the problem.  I wish you and your daughter the best.  I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for all of the advice. I really appreciate the time you took to help us out. I was thinking about the liver as well. AND I need to get some chickweed 😉
