StudentDoc – what are the MEDICINAL differences for elderberry when looking at syrup, tea, a tincture, or some other extraction method? I’m sure that different extractions would pull out different properties, right? And if my memory is working right (this would be rare) – I seem to recall you like elderberry leaves more than the berries (or maybe it was a combination of leaves and berries)? Please, since I cannot seem to find that lesson – which is the most effective use that you’ve found for this herb? Thanks.

Homestead InstructorLeaf is stronger than berry and shouldn’t be used in children as a single herb. Tea, tincture etc… will have similar medicinal properties.
