Elderberry tincture

When making a elderberry tincture, should I double the amount of elderberries if they are fresh or do I double the elderberries if dried?  What is the ratio?

You would use twice as much of the fresh elderberries, or at least that’s what you do with most fresh herbs as they have a higher water content.

i Made a couple of qt jars of elderberry tincture last year and love it…. i previously had used EB syrup and prefer the ticture as I am cutting down on my honey intake
