So long story short, we are building Solar Power Platform for Panels.  My husbands hands where wet while cutting, and he was burned (or electrocuted) (some refer to burn others electrocuted).  It is healing up pretty good. However, his finger is Freezing when he gets cold.  We live in MN and he’s a Truck Driver.  Any recommendations for a poultice or herbal remedy that we could use that would promote circulation and encourage nerve regeneration.  Our local Pharmacist, made a comment today to be aware of necrotic tissue due to internal damage.  So this has kind of well SCARED THE BAJESUS out of me….

          Hi Teresa,

Your poor husband! That sounds painful! From what you describe, I think the herbs I look into would be mallow to prevent further cell death, echinacea to help with possible infection, and lion’s mane to help regrow the nerves.  This injury makes me think of when Doc talks about treating gangrene, so I’d probably approach it that way.  I hope this is helpful!

Thank you for that, I could definitely make him a Tea for Drinking and then a poultice as well, I do have all those on hand….   Doc talks a lot about Poultice and I’m really leaning towards needing to do this and just wrap his whole finger.

Look up herbs that are Rubefacients, they are herbs used topically that increase circulation to the skin causing a warming and reddening of the tissue. The top one of these would be Cayenne, take some powder and put it on his finger, just make sure he doesn’t rub his eyes after!
