Hi, all you herbal folks out there! I’m a very new student, working on the first assignment, so here I am!
I live up in New Hampshire, in a place that has very rocky soil and lots of fun hills. For a while my family lived in a city, in a big house that the neighborhood kids dubbed ‘the creepy library’. But a few years ago, we moved out to the country and are engaged in establishing a small farm. Our short career has still been varied and interesting, we have chickens, ducks, and have successful pig-raising in our history.
I’m pretty young(18)but I’m very excited to be finally embarking on a formal course of herbal learning. I’ve been reading books for a while, but I’m well aware I still have a lot to learn.
Luckily, I’m homeschooled, and my mom knows a lot already about homeopathy and natural healing, so I guess I’ve been given a pretty good background. I’ll be juggling this course with farm-work, other education, and novel-writing(I’m also going to be an author like my dad).
To be honest, the scariest part of this was making a post on the forum. I’ve never done anything like it before, and I was pretty nervous. But after reading all the other posts from newbies making their first posts, my confidence was greatly restored. Thank you, one and all, for showing this beginner where to find her handholds.
Looking forward to this fantastic journey

        Rowan

Relax, it gets easier.  You’ll make new friends and then you won’t have time to respond to everyone.  You took the first step.  As did I.  I’m right behind you.
