I know that kitties are harder to treat due to their strong aversion to swallowing medications, but I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for my cousin’s kitty that has developed feline stomatitis. He is currently receiving steroid injections, and has shown some improvement; but the vet keeps alluding to euthanasia if he doesn’t keep improving. I have suggested regular teeth cleanings as a possible way to at least help keep the condition from worsening. From what my cousin has shared with me, it sounds like the vet is not too open-minded about trying strategies that she has not done before. I have also encouraged getting a second opinion from another vet. Are there any strategies that my cousin might try at home to help this little guy?
