        Hi there,

Glad to have found this forum. I’ve been doing research in all my herbal references and online, but I’m coming up short. I’m trying to figure out what the recommended dosages would be for a frankincense tincture and a frankincense olive oil extract, respectively, if taken internally. I’ve found various studies tied to diseases where it talks about the powdered resin in pill form, but not these other forms. I’ve also found information that it might cause digestive distress if taken at too high a dose. I started down this path to help a family member who has breast cancer and was looking into natural treatments. She has had surgery and radiation, and I want to provide her this plant medicine as an add-on. At this point I’ve sent her the oil and she can use it externally.

Does anybody have experience with this herb that could make any recommendations, or point me to a good source for figuring out internal usage?

        Thank you in advance!

        Chris

          Hi Chris,

We recommend 20 to 30 drops of tincture a 2 to 4 times a day for most products.

For the situation you mention have a look at our and formulas. We do have something else, but would suggest the person involved sign up for a with Patrick. If the person happens to be pregnant I would suggest the consult before taking any action.

Thank you. And she is working with a naturopath, but I will make her aware of your products!
