Our chihuahua was diagnosed with Cushing disease 5 years ago and has been on trilostane for that. One year ago, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, his meds increased including enalapril, Pimobendan, lasix and spironolactone. Last week, diabetes, anemia and going into kidney failure was added to his health issues.  I don’t want to continue pumping more pharmaceuticals into him and I think I’ve got an herbal plan for him as follows:

        Kidney builder-kidney failure

        Pancreas blood sugar-diabetes

        Kidney MoPP-fluid buildup

        Blood builder-anemia

        Heart support-congestive heart failure

        Lymphatic support-to reduce fluid buildup

Should I begin the herb regimen by immediately replacing the pharmaceuticals, or should I introduce them gradually?  Also, he’s small and should get just 1/8 tsp for each but should he get all 6 formulas, so 3/4 tsp total, or should the formulas be mixed and he get just 1/8 tsp of the big mixture?

        Has anyone done this before?
        thanks!!
