I took my 9 year old dog to a vet for listlessness and found he had elevated liver enzymes. The enzymes were normal the next week and the week after that, they were elevated again. The vet thinks this may be caused by a bile duct problem and we have treated him with antibiotics and a low dose of steroid. I did not want to treat him this way, but knew this was a critical situation. I am treating him with homeopathy along side of the allopathic treatments. The vet gave me lixotinic knowing that Jack (my dog) needs vitamin B. I researched and found that not only is the main ingredient corn syrup, but it may contain lead. I am needing to find an effective and natural way to introduce the B vitamins. He has a history of pancreatitis (which may have lead up to his problem today!) so I have to be very careful what I feed him. He is on a diet of chicken and brown rice with some green beans and egg yolks. Sorry for the length of this post and thank you.
