Gilbert’s Syndrome/Disease is a genetic condition, and what people experience is that they don’t conjugate bile as well.  This especially seems more pronounced during various forms of stress.  Also, the severity of manifestation varies among individuals.
I’m wondering what impact I can expect from our cholagogue herbs in individuals with Gilbert’s… what are the implications… can cholagogues be employed to somehow improve on their conjugation of bile.  Are there red flags or things to especially avoid relative to these cases?

I’m curious about this circumstance.  Definitely work on eliminating triggers and easing stress first.  Herbs can’t change genetics, not sure that pushing the liver with cholagogues would get the desired results.  Maybe better to gently support the liver in what it can do?
