Homestead InstructorHave a look at the Urinary System lesson. We talk about gout there.
There is a recipe for the G.O.U.T. formula in the Kidney and Bladder Formulas lesson in the Formulas & Formulations section.
Oh look! It’s right here too. :0)

StudentDoc, how does gout work? How do we know if it’s gout? Growing up, I only knew really obese people to get it, but seems pretty much everyone says their doc has it now (or maybe we are all chunky). Is there a lesson I haven’t gotten to yet? (still pretty new!)

StudentThank you for this. I literally just started the course and was supposed to post a question but looks like my question was already answered. Husband has been dealing with his latest attack for a few weeks and can’t get rid of it so I’m ordering up what I need and hopefully this will help!

StudentHow do you determine an optimum hydration level – does tap water always get into cells to accomplish this or could electrolyte inbalances cause hydration issues that lead to gout because of the wonky electolyte relationships in the cell? Odd question 🙂 does tap water -from hard water area wells affect uric acid imbalance?

StudentHi Doc. I noticed that all the herbs for gout has to be purchased separately on your website. Is there a reason to not make a tincture with all of them? I need to make a gout tincture but was not sure if I should combine the alfalfa, ashwagandha, burdock, gravel root, mullein leaf, plantain, and sarsaparilla root. I am thinking there is a reason you don’t so I want to be sure before I mix them and make a tincture myself.
Thanks!

StudentI had my first gout attack about a month ago late in the evening. I used ginger tincture and drank about 3 cups of cranberry cherry juice within an hour of the onset of the sharp burning pain. By morning my pain was gone. Research on the internet also suggests that celery seed is good for gout attacks. I will give celery seed a try next time.
