Has anyone been successful at treating equine grease heel, a bacterial dermatitis causing inflammation, with herbal remedies?

First of all, make sure the environment/bedding is dry. Moisture is a major contributor to this.

IF there’s a lot of scabbing, you can soak the foot in some warm water for awhile to soften the scabs and then gently remove them. Don’t be too agressive. if you cause bleeding it’ll just be more opportunity for infection.

Once it’s cleaned up, you can spray it with antibiotic herbs (Look at the BugBuster formula for ideas on the types of herbs you could use).

I’d also do BugBuster and Immunity support internally. See the Formulas for Infectious Disease lesson in the Formulas section for the formula ingredients.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
