I am happy to have found this site/school thanks to the recent Homesteading Summit  I am a long-time “earth girl” and herbal medicine dabbler. I wholeheartedly believe that God gave us everything we need to be healthy; we’ve simply forgotten how to use it. So, here I am deciding whether Doc Jones’ school is a good fit to take my herbal learning to a new level.
A little about me: I am a blessed wife. A homeschooling mom to our youngest son, 16. A Guardian ad Litem, mostly advocating for teens. A Surrogate Parent (Educational Advocate) for my county. My primary, marketable skills include Data Architecture, Engineering, and Management. A U.S.A.F. Veteran (Aircraft Mechanic). A Conservative Hippie. I am a trained Health Coach. A Foodie. An avid Gardener and Fermenter. A novice Tai Chi student. And I love to learn.
I look forward to exploring the threads and continuing my wellness-journey here at Herb-Talk! ~Jeni

Dr. Patrick Jones
Homestead InstructorHi Jeni,
We’re glad to have you. Do you mind if I come do an herb walk at your place in say….December. It would probably take several months to do it right.
🙂 Holler if you have questions about the school.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Ha…! It took me a minute, but…
As it just so happens, my son is attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, on an NROTC Scholarship. No, he does NOT come home for Spring Break!

Ha, Doc, glad to hear you’re on the mend! And yes, it would take months to do a proper herb walk here in Florida :frog: ..probably take ’til April even!!
FunDog, that’s so weird, Daytona or Idaho you say, hmmh.. I have a good friend from NY who’s son also attends Embry-Riddle, it is a popular “goal-school” for several friends in our local homeschool community too. Great accomplishment.
I was just sharing Juno’s Story with my husband. He is pretty keen on my jumping into this school, so, I’ll let the idea gel for a day, and who knows, maybe I’ll be a student this weekend :woot: Now THAT’s a way to start out this new year :yahoo:
