StudentHello, wondering if anyone has any experience with this new “grounding” trend. I see they now offer sheets, pillowcases, etc. Would love any feedback on this.

StudentTopic AuthorSo like the grounding sheets are cotton and silver woven together. You then plug the sheet connection into the ground on your electrical outlet and that grounding current runs through the sheet.

StudentI’m not sure how the bedding aĺl works but the idea of grounding is very old. The thought is when your body comes into contact with the earth, real earth not man-made surfaces, the earth can act as a groundwire for your body and can take in your negative energies and replace with positive energy. It’s like an electrical circuit. I know for myself gardening barefoot can help ease my nerves and calm my mood. Possibly someone else could explain better but i hope this helps.

StudentYes, grounding is a very old concept. More recently it has had a small amount of promising research done on it as well. The research shows that is has numerous health benefits that are thought to center around decreasing inflammation within the body. The prevailing thought of how that works is that the body is able to take up electrons from the earth and use those to help “quench” free radicals that cause damage to the body. There are a number of products out there such as mats, sheets, pillowcases, etc. that can be used to get the connection with the earth. These products typically plug in to the ground part of an electrical outlet. It is a good idea to check and make sure the outlet is wired properly before plugging a product in. I have personally been grounding for years and have used it in my practice with many people having good results.
If you would like to see research that has been done on earthing you can go to https://earthinginstitute.net/research/
I don’t know if that was more information than you wanted but if you have questions, I would be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

StudentThe grounding mats, sheets etc do work. Dr Henry Ealy has some videos regarding this topic. I started grounding a few months ago and the effect it has one the body for me has been beneficial.
It is possible to measure your body voltage to show the change before and after grounding. It is a mechanism that is helping with the effects of E.M.F and 5 G on the body . Grounding mats can be used on electrical devices such as phones, computers etc. it helps reduce the emission of emf. a Trifield meter can measure emfs. a volt meter can be used to measure body current . There are some books written on grounding that are informative. Yes it is an old method but as with many things the old ways have a way of always proving useful.
I hope that opens a new window  of information to explore

StudentI feel like i have less inflammation, in my body as wellLess sore after workouts. I sleep much better and have some dream activity, which before grounding I hadn’t had dreams in years . I wake up more rested energetic perhaps. For me personally i think it generates a sense of feeling healthier and more clean feeling.   I do believe it helps with the 5g and emf exposure we are all getting in our body.    Hope that helps

Homestead InstructorI tend to be very skeptical of products that claim to do immeasurable things.
But I do think being barefoot on some dirt or a beach is a nice experience. The only time I see shoes on my grandkids is Sunday morning. They can run across gravel like it isn’t there. They’re like little tough-soled hobbits. Maybe we should all be more like tough-soled hobbits. LOL
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

StudentI bought a grounding mat (from the “original” barefoot guy) and slept on it for a year as I was curious if I would notice any improvements. I didn’t notice any difference whatsoever, so I’m not sold on the idea. That said, walking barefoot in nice grass, soil, or sand, or laying in the grass seems to calm my soul. I think a lot of grounding benefits have to do with being out in nature and disconnecting from the man made surroundings, but that’s just my opinion. 🙂

StudentYeah I’m not sold on the idea either, I think people just need to be out in nature more.
