Gumweed has a precaution to not take if one has heart disease. If a person does have heart disease, can he take gumweed externally for muscle spasms?

I worry almost not at all about contraindications and drug interactions when using herbs topically.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
