I just want to introduce myself! My name is Kari and I live in Brigham City, Utah.I was so excited to check out Dr. Jones’ website to find an herbalist forum for people like me who prefer this crazy plant medicine over the other stuff. I’ve been learning about and using herbal medicine for about 5 years now. My mom (Beverly, I’m pretty sure she’s on this forum) introduced me to it and we started learning together. My husband (Matt – not a member of the forum yet, but I’m sure he will be introducing himself soon) jumped on board shortly after and we’ve all had a lot fun and a lot of success learning about herbs. Matt just started his Master Herbalist education and I am studying to become a Master Aromatherapist. I can’t believe how much we have come to love herbs and natural medicines! I’m excited to be here and look forward to learning from each other!

Hi Kari,

You’ve been on this forum a lot longer than I have, but I’m very interested in aromatherapy too and have bought most of my oils from Young Living essential oils. Do you buy your oils or distill your own? I’ve recently bought a still (a cheap one from China) and I can’t wait to try to coax some oils from some of my plants.

Also, do you wild craft any herbs you need or do you have room to grow some? Looking forward to hearing all about Herbalism city-style.

Great to have you here. I’ll be lecturing in Logan on the 30th & 31st of January. Maybe we can say Hi. 🙂

I’ll also be doing some herb walks and workshops in Logan this summer. There are some fabulous canyons for herb hunting down there.
