I hate it when I can’t remember where I read something! :wall:

I thought I found an article that indicates there are a handful of herbs that will help your body adapt to summer heat – and I thought Lemon balm was one of those herbs – that it actually changed your cells so that heat won’t effect you as severely. (Can we say, adaptogen? :woot: )

Of course, this is all hearsay unless I can find documentation.

Anyone else heard the same thing? Anyone have a source? Am I completely in left field?

        Thanks, all you smart people!

I don’t know about plants helping with heat tolerance, but a lot of my Hispanic neighbors routinely wear long sleeves, hats, and carry umbrellas while walking around town during the summer.

And yes, you read that right: They wear LONG SLEEVES! :scared: I’ve asked if they are too hot, but they say no, the long sleeves act much in the same way that a long haired dog’s coat helps to keep him cool in summer as well as warm in winter. I don’t, though. Shorts and tees for me! 😛

I haven’t heard anything about it. Holler if you remember. :0)

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
