My daughter has a hedgehog in the living room.we have cats in the basement that don’t enter our main living area (upstairs). I am wanting to know what essential oils to avoid using because of the hedgehog and if there might be any concern for the cats since they are on another floor, so to speak.

In the near future, I would like to use the resins of frankincense and myrrh with a no-smoke coal tablet. This is my main concern.

Our house is small (800 square feet main floor), so that is another reason for concern as I have no idea what concentration either of these resins would be present In the air.

Any help in this matter is appreciated!

I wouldn’t use any essential oil around dogs, cats or I guess hedgehogs. Vets around the country are starting to see lots of dogs and cats dying from liver toxicity. Dogs and cats have different enzymes than we do and turn some of the oils into deadly toxins.

I know the essential oil company pamphlets say they are perfectly safe for pets. They say this because they have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about. It would be sort of adorable…if they weren’t killing people’s dogs.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
