StudentHello, My name is Amanda. I am new to the school and I am so excited to be here. I got here because I saw Doc Jones on a YouTube video with Josh from the School of Traditional Skills. I had taken a course for herbology back in Georgia and loved it, but I felt like there was so much more to learn and we never got to do any foraging. I have learned more on my own, but when I found out about this school and having life time access plus it has courses on animals and herbal treatment I just had to soak up all the knowledge I could. I would love to one day have a homestead and be able to grow my own herbs and make things from them and help improve my health and my family’s. I started down the path of healing with herbs because I have a lot of health issues and I react so badly to medications. When crap hits the fan I what to have the knowledge and skills to help my family.

StudentWelcome Amanda! There is a ton to learn in herbalism and you are in a great place to be able to do it!. The great thing is that you don’t have to wait until you have a homestead to start growing. My wife and I live on a city lot with less than 6,000 sq feet (that’s including the house) and we grow a ton of medicine and vegetables for our home

StudentTopic AuthorIt is wonderful that you are able to grow your herbs in the city. I started some oregano, lemon balm, and sage so far this summer. I am looking forward to adding more.
