        Good Evening Everyone,

I work in IT for a healthcare organization, in Central MN. I grew up on a farm thinking, I would never be a farmer myself and here I am today with a whopping 47 chickens and looking to expand my garden. I know, that’s not what I would necessarily call a farmer but; I never thought I would go back to caring for animals. However, I am all about continuing to learn and try new things that can help me to be more independent from the mainstream.  🙂

Welcome Helen! We’ve all got pretty interesting stories, but it’s great how they’ve led us here! I have been a big city kid all my life, so the idea of growing things for myself to eat let alone for health hadn’t crossed my mind until about 3 years ago. And now I just finished rip[ping out a ton of sod on my little lot so I can have more room to plant things!

Independence and self reliance are pretty are drums we beat pretty regularly around here. Welcome aboard. :0)
