Hello Doc, I attended your conference this July (2025), it was great thank you.  Do you have any formula or advice I can use to help my husband (68yrs), who is suffering from heat exhaustion?  This is second time getting it and symptoms are much worse.  He gets very sick, sweats profusely and fatigues.  He is not a man who is idle and this is very difficult for him.  We live in Calif (sac. area) and the days are hot.  Is there any formula you can create, or suggest I create, that could ease these symptoms? It is causing him to get very discouraged and frustrated.  He has much he wants to do. Thank you very much for your input.

        With gratitude, Joanne

          Hello Joanne,

I live in Florida were the air sucks the moister from the body and have found solo water to help. a bit of salt in a gallon of water (1 teaspoon for every 8 oz left over night). I also put sea salt under my tongue is thing in the morning then drink my water. seems to help me. good as long as your not on medication that salt would conflict with sodium.

I agree, water with salt or electrolytes helps me come back from heat fatigue.  Keep a small electrolyte packet on hand that mixes right into a water bottle.  Astringent herbs like sage would help reduce fluid loss from sweating.   Refrigerant herbs like mint and sumac are both good in a lemonade (add a dash of salt too).  And getting fluids from foods like cucumber and melons brings in water  without feeling flooded.   Cooling the wrists and back of neck seems to help my whole system.  There are gel coolant pads that sit around your neck like a pillow, chefs use them for working in hot kitchens.  Old school style, just use a wet bandana 😁
