Hello. I’ve recently moved into a new house, and beginning to sort out a very overgrown garden I have found this plant in a dark corner. From what I have managed to read, it looks like comfrey to me..but, I’d like some confirmation from people who actually know, rather than my wishful thinking. In the literature I read it talks of quite tall plants whereas this is only 25cm. Maybe because it is growing in a very shaded corner ? It seems very well established. Confirmation would be greatly appreciated. And I’d really like to use it too…I realise this will be an easy one for this forum’s members.

        Many thanks in advance. Rod

Sure looks like it. If the leaves are really scratchy, it probably is.

Comfrey usually has purple flowers but they range all the way from pink to white olike the ones you have.

If you have a smart phone, the PictureThis-Plants app is really good for plant identification.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
