        Hello;
        I’m new to zone 7 in Idaho and have watched the video on landscaping with herbs. I’m super excited to get things going in the spring after I’ve designed the yard, updated the watering system and researched what plants will grow best in my area along with plants that I will be using on a regular basis as I continue my studies in Home Grown Herbalist Academy. So happy my sister-in-law suggested this school.

          Hello Christine:

          I too am wanting to use medicinal herbs to landscape my yard.  I want to focus on perennials as my foundation, and then add annuals as needed each spring.  I took a course on Food Forests/Forest Gardens and want my entire yard to be landscaped with edibles & medicinals, with a few traditional landscape trees & plants to ensure my front yard looks beautiful, and plant many flowers to feed the pollinators.  Good luck with your endeavour.  I am in Zone 7-8.

            There is a wonderful lady that runs the Idaho Herb Exchange on Facebook.  Look her up.  She is very knowledgeable and has landscaped most of her property with herbs.

              I like the ideas on landscaping your yard with herbs! How do you recommend doing that when you have a lot of very hungry deers. Any suggestions, things that have worked for you?
