I’m really keen on incorporating herbs into pastures for my livestock, but I am always told they won’t persist. I am thinking that keeping them going will come down to good grazing management. Does anyone have any ideas or experience?

That’s an interesting question, I’d like to follow the responses. Do you hay your pastures and want the herbs in you hay? Or do you want herbs in your pasture for grazing? The red clover, asklick and other white clover, alfalfa, grass, plantain, lamb’s quarter stay fairly abundant in the dairy goats’ grazing pasture. The dandelion goes away quickly but does come back. And the false indigo and wild garlic is way too prevalent. Anything else that I want them to have I pick from the garden or the border which is time consuming.

I’d like to follow along too. Also, interested in finding natural ways to deal with weeds. As in the ones toxic to livestock.
