I’m quite sure that there are some herbs for external use only. Arnica comes to mind. I hear it’s poisonous internally. And…you can’t become a very good herbalist if you die!!!

If the herb is safe to use internally and safe to use in the person/case taking it, you can mix plants as needed.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
