        Hi all,

Firstly great forum, gathered some great infirmation already 🙂

Im very interested in herbs, and their benfits, specifically herbal teas. However rectently I was reading that without proper knowledge of herbs it might not be a great idea to take multiple herbs, or even some herbs.

My concern is, I tend to read about some amazing herb or tea, and add it to my morning herbal tea routine. Currently I have combination of oolang tea, high mountain black tea, roobis, gingko biloba, st johns wort, mint, camomile. I then might add some ashwagandha or match green tea.

Could it potentially be a bad thing taking so many herbs and teas together? Should i be isolating each one to gleen its benefits more?

        Thanks in advance,

        Dave

You’re good to go. There’s no right or wrong way to creating an herbal tea as long as you know the herbs you are using, why you chose them, and any potential contradictions that might apply to you i.e. if you are on a blood thinning medicine then don’t take herbs that are known to be blood thinners. Enjoy your mixed tea. View them as a multi vitamin. 🙂

Combining herbs in a tea is typically a non-issue as long as the herbs are safe.

It’s also a good idea not to mix herbs and medications unless you’ve discussed it with someone that knows about both.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
