Is it possible to find the cause of excema in a 5 year old child? I know in some cases it is an allergy but I also understand it could be an autoimmune response. Is it best to focus on the liver or address it topically?

It wouldn’t be a bad thing to try and help the liver and see if that helps. I have had great success in clearing up skin issues with a beef tallow balm that I’ve made. I actually first learned about it from a friend of mine who was making it because his 2 year old daughter was having troubles with eczema and it cleared it up for her and cleared up his as well. Since then I started making it and it has cleared up all sorts of skin issues that anyone in my family has experienced, so I highly recommend it.

In a kid that size I’d try a bit of burdock internally and some good lotion.

There are two good lotion recipes on slide 42 of this lesson

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
