StudentHello everyone! Â My 2 year old lab…Bear has hip dysplasia. Â He has also had Lyme twice..and he was treated for it. He goes back to make sure it’s all out in another month. Â My question is….which formula or formulas would work best for him to help rebuild and manage pain. Â He’s so young…. I was thinking of the joint support formula and the tissue/bone/cartilage repair formula. Â Would those be correct?

StudentAngela, My 8 year old lab has a mild case of hip dysplasia, this is what I have done. Bio Trust collagen one scoop a day ( vet approved him to be on it), and Doc Jones
formula for joint support. When he has a flare up I spray Hops on him and use CBD oil for dogs and Lifewave Aculife pain patches for animals, I just feel his hips to where I feel swelling of muscle and place tan patch there and the white patch on the other side or where it is also tender. If you know acupuncture there are little beads in sleeve to put under patches. This has really helped him times of inflammation. If you want to know more on Aculife leave me a email and I will get back to you. nkediex39@gmail.com. I hope I didn’t break any rules here. I am on here to check out why my dog is vomiting and ran across this because he suffers with this condition to. I thought I may find other info on it. So, I was compiled to help. So, forgive me Doc if I broke any rules.

StudentTopic AuthorThanks Kim! Â He’s been on the joint support for almost a month now. Â The vet said his hip flexor was tight and that was creating his pain. Â After a little at home therapy and the joint support, he’s quit limping and seems to be getting around much better. After walking and playing, he’s not limping! Â Win win!

Glad he’s feeling better. If flexor tension is causing issues, some antispasmodics (ie NoMoSpazms formula) might help as well.
