I am wanting to plant hops in my yard. For beer I understand you want certain kind of hops for taste and such but what about madicinally. There are a large variety out there and I was wondering what variety is the best for Wisconsin?

I don’t think different varieties will need much difference in terms of growth. For medicinal purposes, get one as little changed from the original species as possible. Selective breeding to change colors and flavors of plants can also change medicinal strength.
