StudentI grew up on a mountain in Montana with no traditional healthcare. We dug our own herbs, saw a chiropractic naturopath when needed, and just pretty much lived outside all summer. Here we are years later and I’m finally doing more than just reading Back to Eden and giving everyone nettle and comfrey. I met Dr Jones at the Homestead Conference in CdA and was so impressed with his teaching method that I had to sign up here!!

StudentTopic AuthorIf you have a chance to make it to the Modern Homesteading Conference this year, I HIGHLY recommend it. Doc Jones also has a booth to chat with him and purchase his wares.

StudentTopic AuthorWell, we are tired and sore but our hearts are soooo full from the Modern Homesteading Conference!!! Doc Jones and Dr Jed have a new course about emergency medicine that I’m anxious to sign up for, we met soooo many new friends, and I am reinvigorated to make more time to do classwork here. But for now… coffee and some salted water is all I need lol!!

StudentTopic AuthorI only got about 5 minutes of one presentation before having to return to my booth but I’ll just buy the video access like last year. I’m extremely interested in Mr. Cohen’s talk about pressing oils- we were next to the yellowhorn tree booth and he had a lot of interesting things to say! I’m always leery about any oils beside olive oil and animal fat, but I’m going to research it more!!
