        Hello,

My loved one has been diagnosed with a mild inguinal hernia and told he will need surgery. It seems his small intestine goes back into place and only sometimes protrudes.

Theoretically, if his intestine is not protruding, is there an herbal protocol that can help heal the tear? Possibly used along with specific strengthening exercises?

Appreciate you all and thanks in advance for the input!

Goldenseal has a reputation for sealing up internal tears like this,  used as an external treatment maybe with comfrey.  Also astringent herbs like raspberry leaf could help tone local tissues.

I would sure LOVE to hear from Doc on this as my hubby has now had FOUR hernia repairs!  Located in 3 different areas (I’d name them, but I can’t spell them LOL!)!
