Carr
StudentMy name is David Carr. I am a new student in the academy. I am a pharmacist, and I also have a MBA. Most of my career has involved managing pharmacies for others or myself. I recently sold my Pharmacies, and I am currently a geriatric Pharmacist working in Nursing Facilities in West Virginia and southern Ohio. I have always had an interest nature’s pharmacy since I was a student. I finally have found the free time to devote my time to a more formal education. I am very excited to finally start this journey. I have searched the internet for the past year hoping to find the perfect home for me. I ran across Dr. Jones’ you tube videos. I feel in love with his presentation style. I am bit of a corn ball amateur comedian myself. I am usually not a verbal learner. I was able to retain a large amount of the information that he presented. So here I am. I hope to meet a lot of you on the forum a some of you personally. I am sure that you remember this part of the assignment. I have a question. I am working on a poison ivy salve. We have a lot of jewelweeds where I live and all the information I have found says it is a good choice for poison ivy. I also want to add Plantain. There is another weed in our area called Giant Yellow Hyssop. I can’t find a lot of information on this hyssop, but what I found proclaims that it is a good choice for poison ivy. My question is this. Is there anyone that has worked with this weed. Would this be a good choice to add to the formula or do you have better choices. Thanks ahead of time for any information you can provide.

StudentWhenever I’ve asked the AI a question, I found it to be thorough and kind of fun. I would search the herb, or poison ivy to see what comes up.

StudentHi David, I hope you have something new and interesting to share with us regarding poison ivy. (or poison oak) It would be good for you to excel with this project because there are few things that do seem to work. There is a golden-seal paste that has helped some people. Heat helps as well. I am wondering if nettle or nettle seed could be taken on a daily basis to avoid the systemic version of poison ivy.

StudentHello David,
Jewelweed is a wonderful choice for helping with poison ivy, and is typically easy to find as it tends to grow near the poison ivy vine. Have you researched calendula? It’s a wonderful herb with many benefits with topical use.
