StudentMy husband has a red rash on both legs. It is itchy and the skin flakes off. He stands at work all day and his legs are swollen when he gets home. He does wear compression stockings to help with the swelling. We don’t know if it is eczema or venous stasis, Candida, or ?? He does not want to go to the dr. We have tried cleaning up his diet and adding probiotics and other things to treat Candida. It gets better for awhile and then flares and sometimes he gets the itchy part on his arms and back. He does have a history of Deep Vein Thrombosis. Is there anyway to tell what the rash might be?

StudentMy husband just recently broke out in an awful rash – it looked like an acid burn (red hot, peeling, itching, pain)! On his shins, stomach, and started moving to his arms. Topical aides were not helping much… He started taking daily baking soda and Epsom salt baths (1 c soda and 2 c salt). That helped quite a bit. Then we started applying diluted GSE (Grape Seed Extract). That right there seems to heal rashes quickly.

StudentHi Deborah, here is a picture of the rash. It was on his right leg too. It has cleared but he still complains of itch from time to time and back in the bath he goes. Not sure if you can see this image… it doesn’t show for me and looks broken.
