This is an experience I had a few weeks ago.
Over the last few months Renee and I have been discussing how ALL of God’s creations have a spirit, even the Earth. It really does make sense if you remember that EVERYTHING was created spiritually before it was created physically. We have talked about how the Earth is very upset with how we are NOT taking care of her and how she reacts in quite astonishing ways to try to let us know this.
Patrick Jones has been experimenting with different ways to take advantage of this communication between God’s creations in determining which herbs are needed. I have been trying to put down on paper what our experience was on a particular evening. I had it all written for the most part and then it went to BIT heaven. I recently had an opportunity to recall and get it down again.
We were over at Patrick’s house and Renee mentioned that the herbs she had been taking were not quite as effective as they had been. Patrick said something to the effect of, “Let me try something that I have been working on lately.”
Have you ever heard of dousing? The method we use is two pieces of metal bent at right angles and then held loosely in an open fist, like making the OK sign, with the wires pointing straight ahead. When the object being looked for (such as a buried pipe) is found the wires move inward and cross. He had been experimenting with this technique for “prescribing” herbs. It works very well and confirms any kinesiology testing that we have done.
Patrick had been working on being the go between for those that were not sure about their ability to respond to kinesiology testing on their own. He would do the dousing while in physical contact with the person. We then got the idea that he might be able to do it by just having them in the room and that worked. We cross confirmed everything with other methods such as kinesiology testing. Patrick would approach the herbs with the rod and ask for himself and get a certain response. He would then repeat and ask for Renee and get a totally different response. Renee would then do the same thing and would get the same results. One time she did it and got an odd response. She then realized that she had looked at Patrick and had put him in her mind for just a moment.
We briefly discussed if it might be possible to do this long distance. Wow, what a concept. Then my mind got into action and I commented, “What if we could choose our food in the grocery store?”
What happened next really had a profound impact on me (and the others once I told them what happened.)
I picked up one of the dousing rods and separated myself from the group. I held the rod and closed my eyes. I thought to myself “Is the food we are growing in our garden good for us.” While thinking that I tried to envision the garden area in our back yard. Nothing happened. Then the most incredible thing happened. The message that I was not being specific enough came flooding into my thoughts. As I was thinking what I should be specific about a small bubble came from a very specific part of one of our grow beds. As the bubble enlarged I recognized that in the bubble was a leaf of kale. Immediately as I recognized the kale leaf the dousing rod reacted in a positive manner.
HOLY COW. That really excited me that I was able to do that.
I have not tried is since but I intend to do so.

Dr. Patrick Jones
Homestead InstructorMuscle testing is very interesting.
I wouldn’t believe it myself but I have often been “told” to use particular herbs on clients or patients that I wouldn’t normally have used only to discover later that the individual did in fact have another underlying condition I wasn’t aware of or that the particular herbs was perfect for a condition I was addressing and I didn’t realize it until I studied it further.
The longer I do it, the less I need the external tools or techniques. With practice and experience, one gets to where one can just feel it without testing.

StudentWhen I was a child, my mother found a couple of chiropractors who also practiced kinesiology. She took my brother in to see them because he sometimes had episodes of cardiac arrest and the “regular” doctors couldn’t figure out why. The first question the chiropractor asked was, “have you ever had a broken neck?” Of course my brother laughed and said no. He was nine years old at the time. Well, when the doctor pushed on his arm, it went straight down with no resistance. A “yes” answer to the same question produced the opposite effect. Well then the chiropractor refused to even touch my brother until he got a CT scan. This was in 1980 or 81. So my mother took my brother in for a CT scan, and was shocked to learn it indeed did show an old neck fracture that had healed incorrectly, and was impinging on the spinal cord! Whenever my brother got his neck in a certain position, he would go into cardiac arrest. It made a believer out of me, let me tell you!

StudentUnfortunately there wasn’t one. He just had to be careful. Mom wouldn’t let him play football in high school, for example. He has not had another episode since finding out the problem.
