        Greetings folks,

I’ve looked around for medicinal properties of this plant. I get results for lemon balm and bee balm, but not lemon bee balm. This plant grows all over our property and is very aromatic. I did find one site that said the leaves were good in salads. and it was good in treating respiratory conditions. Is there a monograph for this plant somewhere?

Monarda citriodora has properties similar to its cousin Monarda didyma (Bee Balm). It’s good for respiratory stuff.

Makes a good bug repellent too. Just rub it on your skin.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Thank you Doc. Jones First I rinsed and dried the plant, then I made an infused oil with it, then melted beeswax i n top of double boiler and added the infused oil till the wax melted, then I added 15 drops each of lavender, eucalyptus, and serenity Essential oils to help ease the restlessness and discomfort. Makes a nice chest rub when you are afflicted with respiratory stuff. Seems some of Doc’s Rest Easy could take the place of the essential oils.
