I was wondering if its light exposure in general in my home that can break down herbs that I have stored in jars or just direct sunlight? Feedback appreciated!

I don’t think you’ll have a problem if its in a lit room with no windows, but I think best practice is to keep them where it’s dark

I was prescribed a protocol of herbs and instructed to keep them in a cabinet as any light for extended periods would lessen their effectiveness, per my doctor.

Ok, I thought so but I was confused by some herbal videos that their  herbs are in jars on open shelves exposed to the light. I will continue to keep mine in my cupboard. Thanks!
