Hello everyone! Last Friday, one week ago today, I got sick with an achy, weak, feverish sickness. My dad got a similar thing the day before I did and he got better and back to normal things over the weekend. But my fever has persisted intermittently, mostly low-grade fever coming and going throughout the day and night. I still just don’t feel well, have some shortness of breath, coughing, and weakness.

My tonsils have been swollen and have lots of white spots all over them, making swallowing difficult. My face and around my eyes have also been swelling intermittently. Yesterday evening, it was like pressure started in my ears, which has been concerning.

I have been on (in varying combinations and doses) Vitamin C, D, Zinc, ShooFloo, ColdAway, ImmuneSupport, and Histamine formulas, plus Indian spice tea, hibiscus, and Cold Day Boost tea, plus gargling the tinctures and salt water/ACV for my tonsils. I just started on a blend of Mexican oregano, Grape Seed Extract, Garlic, Clove, and a couple other things yesterday.

Is there anything else I should be doing, especially to relieve my tonsils and stop this fever? Thank you so much for your help!

You might want to consult an MD.  Some of the descriptions in your post make me think some test would be in order to narrow down the cause.  Hope you feel better soon.

Paige’s advice is good. A diagnosis lets us know what tree to bark up.

The spots on the tonsils are suggestive of a bacterial infection. Some cleavers (or Lymphatic Support formula) will help with the tonsil swelling. Some antibacterial herbs (Look at the ones in INFXN BugBuster) might be better than the antivirals.

Another thing I’ve used often for sore throats is a little cayenne in water. You’ll scream like a little girl for a minute (I always do) but it often knocks out the bugs and inflammation.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Thank you for your thoughts, Paige and Dr. Jones! We are planning to try to visit a doctor for diagnosis on Monday if there hasn’t been any significant improvement before then.

I appreciate your tip about the white spots indicating it’s more bacterial in nature, Dr. Jones. I have been hearing so many great things about cleavers from your lessons and actually already had the tincture on its way from your shop for other applications. I look forward to its arrival.

I just tried the cayenne and water as a gargle, with about a cup of warm water and a heaping 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne powder. How often would you recommend repeating?

              Thanks again! God bless you!

I’d do the cayenne a couple of times a day for a few days.
